Workers engaged in manufacturing low cost eye glass frames in China. Workers earn $3.00 to $4.00 per week.There are a great many such plants in China. Eye Care Center of America has signed contracts for thousands of frames from this type of plant.

Outside the eye glass lens manufacturing plant in China. George Gebhardt Jr. is the tall one in the center. George visited many of these lens plants on the mainland of China. This trip was made early in 2,005.

Grandma Kay, age 85, the mother patriarch. We flew to Portland from Coos Bay, so she did not bring any of her famous Huckleberry pies this time. Today she baked 4 of them for the Church bazaar in North Bend, OR.
